Scriptures: Romans 12:1-2; Romans 8:28
Romans 12:1-2 King James Version (KJV)
12 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Romans 8:28 King James Version (KJV)
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
God has two wills: HIS good, acceptable, and permissive will and HIS perfect will. Although God desires that we are obedient to HIS will, HE will permit you to follow your own will. God even allows trouble in your life if it means that it will result in his divine purpose. You are here for a purpose. All the things that you are going through are working together for your good.
God is in control, not the devil. He is sovereign-ultimate, unlimited, unrestricted, and full of power. Nothing is done without HIS knowledge. God will allow abundant grace for some, but limited grace for others. The danger is taking HIS grace for granted. After his second act of disobedience, God rejected Saul and removed HIS spirit from him. He reigned for forty additional years, going through the motions but lacking the power of the anointing. How many people are singing in the choir or preaching when God’s spirit left them long ago? God’s grace is not a license to sin, but an opportunity to get things right with God. Although his predecessor, David, had many flaws, he was a man after God’s heart. He kept communication with God and was quick to give a heartfelt repentance.
Ultimately, God is in control! The devil cannot do anything without God’s permission. So whatever the devil is attempting to do in your life, serve him an eviction notice. Tell him that you are God’s property.
