Scriptures:

  • 11 Kings 4:1- – Now a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to [a]Elisha, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the Lord; and the creditor has come to take my two children to be his slaves.” Elisha said to her, “What shall I do for you? Tell me, what do you have in the house?” And she said, “Your maidservant has nothing in the house except a jar of oil.”

There’s going to come a time in your life when you’re going to need help. In 2 King 4:1, a certain woman cried out to Elisha for help because the creditors came to take her two children to be slaves. She was unable to pay the creditors because her husband was dead. This certain woman needed help.

You may be in a place where you need help. You may need more money, better health, direction in life, or deliverance. If so, just like this certain woman who cried out to Elisha, you can cry out to the man of God.

Even though she cried out to the man of God for help, she didn’t have much to offer the man of God except a jar of oil for his assistance. However, a jar of oil was all she needed. In summary, know this. You may not have much to give, but God can take the little that you have and make it more than enough when you put it in his hands.
