In the Place of God

It is a powerful thing to know the will of God for your life. The safest place in the whole wide world is in the will of God. God’s will is mysterious, and in order to know the will of God concerning you, you must be like Him. God is a Spirit. The spiritual man is the only one who can understand the plan of God. If you are going to find out the things of God, you must feed your spirit man.

When you don’t know where you are going, you go slowly; and you can’t move any faster than where your knowledge carries you. So many people are walking in their own wills, but do you know God’s plan for your life? You have to find the will of God for you, not what you want, but what does God want for your life? The only way to be in God’s will is some things have to die. Your flesh, your desires have to die. Jesus did not want to die, but He told the Father, not my will but let thine will be done. Too many people are trying to please the world, but it’s time to please Jesus and strive to be like Him. God wants us to be more spiritual minded. The devil tries to put us in a place out of our element, but don’t let anybody make you into something you are not.

When you are in God’s will, you might not always know where God is, but He always knows where you are. Being in God’s will is not always comfortable; it doesn’t always feel good. But in spite of the pain, when your life is in God’s hands, He will work all things for your good, even those things that hurt. The story of Joseph in the book of Genesis shows us how God can take things we don’t like and things that are painful to get us into the place God wants us to be. So stop crying and fussing about where you are now, and how badly you’ve been hurt and know that God is trying to get you into the place He wants you to be. Joseph was not angry at his brothers for what they did, he told the he was ” in the place of God.” They helped him get there.
