Spiritual Wickedness

Scripture: Ephesians 6:10-19 10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

This world is not your home; you are a pilgrim passing through. Just like a soldier, your goal should be to survive until you make it home. Until you make it home, there will be conflict with evil. But you are not fighting individuals (flesh and blood), but you are wrestling against principalities, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Everything is governed by a spirit.

Therefore, you must be careful what you allow to get into your spirit. Once the devil is allowed to control you, he doesn’t stop with you. He wants to gain territory—your spouse, your children, and your children’s children. Once the door has been opened for the devil, it takes a real man or woman of God (empowered by the Holy Ghost) to cast him out. Children of God: it’s time to be strong in the Lord; only the strong survive. Therefore, we must put on the whole armor of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
